Overview

Winter at Meribel

Meribel is located in Savoy, in the heart of the 3 Valleys, the largest ski area in the world, with over 600 km slopes spread between Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
Méribel lies between 1450 and 1700m altitude in the valley of Allues, which alone has 150 km of trails (73 trails and 53 lifts). The ski resort of Méribel lies between 1400m and 2950m altitude at the summit of Mont Vallon.
Besides downhill skiing, there are 90 km of ski slopes skiing, between Meribel and Courchevel and the nature reserve map Tueda and 25 km of marked paths for pedestrians. Many snowshoeing or sleigh rides are also organized.
All Meribel and villages of the valley are built respecting the authenticity of habitat: pitched roofs, facades of stone and wood. This undoubtedly gives to Meribel a particular charm, where tradition and modern comfort are intimately linked.
On the occasion of the Olympic Games in Albertville in 1992, Meribel hosted the alpine skiing women's competitions and ice hockey. The sports of the Olympic Park has grown steadily and now houses an ice rink, swimming pool, fitness center and well-being and bowling.
